Not so amazing that Cathy has beef jerky in her purse though. She probably has enough there to survive for 2 months in the Arctic tundra.Good morning, Aaron & Susan! Hello to GsMom, Kfgrrl, Billy and all other Cathy nuts that roll around here today!

Looks like Vivian is big enough to have Electra for a snack. And she’s also fickle. And no longer shy.

Morning gobblinup. Here’s to a better day. (LOVE Billy’s note to you last night!)

Morning Susan when you arrive. Afternoon Mom!. Wow, busy as a beaver. I’ll have to check yesterday’s comic to see if Kfg made an overnight appearance.

What is Vivian, anyways? Maybe a white German Shepard?

I just checked and I do have beef jerky in my purse. I thought I did. Wish I could find a way to carry ice cream in it!

@ GsMom – I just wanted to thank you for giving me incentive to make an appt for pictures for the Christmas cards. There’s no way that I’m even close to what you’ve done, but at least mine will be printed out on Monday. Addressed and stamped is another thing, but I can turn it into something fun for the kiddies to do…

This strip reminds me of my dog too. She’s very food-oriented (which made her extremely easy to train when she was a puppy) and if she had to choose between that and anything else – including her favorite chew toys — she’d choose food every single time!

Billy: In answer to your comments yesterday: yes, I’m extremely possessed when it comes to . . . well, just about everything! My husband would probably tell you that I’m a really anal-retentive person — always needing to be in control right down to the smallest detail. Well, what can I say? That’s the only way anything gets done . . . and done right!

B.t.w.: your mom is very lucky that your dad helps her with such a mundane task as Christmas cards! I wish my husband would volunteer to help me out when it comes time to do them but he doesn’t and I don’t ask either. He’s pretty busy and since I work on them off and on when I’ve got the time for about 3 days, I can’t ask him to stop what he’s doing every time in order to sit there and address envelopes then wait for me to write something in all the cards before handing them to him to finish the job. He’s got so many other, better, more pressing things to do that I just do that dreaded task on my own (which I try to do without too much complaint!). Maybe when we reach retirement age in about 25 years or so, he’ll volunteer to help me out then. We’ll just have to wait and see, I guess!!!

Wow, that’s kinda weird. I love hugs as much as the next guy or gal, but Vivian … well, maybe ‘clingy’ is the word. Funny, of course, but in a ‘please never do that to me’ kinda way.

Oh yeah, tomorrow is Friday. Thanks GsMom! It’s Aaron’s night off and I work only half a day. We also do volunteer work — namely for these two months, mostly at a soup kitchen. We also spend time with needy kids who don’t get much of a break except at the holidays. I do basketball and soccer year round, but even that’s not enough.

    Good job Susan—bravo too!

Awwwww! We just convinced a neighbor to trap a wild kitten that was living under their porch and he acts much the same. Very affectionate and likes to wrap himself around our necks. I thought we would have problems with his adjustment, but he has been doing just fine — from day one.
