Cathy: At 11:40am, in the middle of a business meeting, I realized the entire right side of my brain was being used up by faux early-american bedding choices. Even worse, I didn't care. Even worse, I felt superior to anyone who didn't appear to be silently wrestling with the same decisions...the yarn-dyed "victorian" thistle-pattern quilt with euro shams and boxpleat bedskirt? The pastel "keepsake fabric" patchwork quilt with periwinkle dust ruffle?...The "heirloom" apple blossom applique quilt with awning-striped linens?...The "vintage" waffle-weave penny check quilt?...The "antique" garden quilt? I couldn't talk to my mother. She's had the same bedspread for 43 years. I couldn't talk to my women friends. They're still recovering from my "south-western" phase...There's only you. Only you always know the right thing to say... Voice from phone: First item number? Cathy: How many returns do you allow per order?

She might have a hard time complaining about her male counterparts get paid more than she does; of course they are probably drifting off, dreaming of naked women.

Good morning, everyone.I remembering ordering things over the telephone. I thought it was a great improvement from having to fill out an order form and take it to the mailbox. Now a few clicks of the mouse and your things are on their way. But it sure would be nice to talk to a real person.

Ow ow! Uncontrollable eye rolls. Ow!
Oh man, I’m just not feeling like myself this morning. I dunno what happened.
Mom! (referring back to Saturday night’s comment) I think the strikethru happens when we use 1 dash. If we do a space, 2 dashes, and space, it should translate into an em dash (two combined). I’ve done that successfully before.

That was the best AACK! ever. I guess the answer to the Lindt chocolate commercials, asking “Do you dream in chocolate?” would be a no for Cathy. She daydreams in patterns. Um, and she’s ordering them only to return them? No wonder the urge to eye roll is so strong.
LOL Nice job Aaron. I wonder how long ago you thought that up? It had to be awhile, since he’s not all that spontaneous in this level of humor. I thought with Aaron away I’d finally be spared being the April Fool. Even from 2000 miles, he got me. :-D
I’m afraid to go out of the house, but I got a basketball game to play in. Hello Cathyites did anybody get got good today?

Well, I have been dreaming of chocolate Easter bunnies. There is a 3 foot rabbit down to the gas station you can win. It’s stunningly beautiful, too. It has a chocolate basket of yellow Peeps on it’s back and a lime green polka dot ribbon around it’s neck. There is chocolate in the air, everywhere! I swear I have gained weight just by breathing in the fumes.

I think the title panels sum this one up pretty perfectly.
(LOVE the huge AACK, by the way. And great to see the Sunday strips again.)
Happy Sunday, everyone.

I noticed that if you click on the little red calendar at the top of the strip and then click on the Sundays we missed here, those Sundays will show up for you.

Hi Cathyites!! I dunno, I’m sure it was a LOT more interesting than the stupid meeting (as most meetings go).
Thanx summerdog — I’ll go back and check.
Nice switch Aaron & Happy April Fools to you, Billy (and all the other Cathyites)!!
That is a coincidence hendelca — we went to see Alvin Ailey last night. They are really wonderful. I will be catching my friends’ company in a couple of weeks when they do their final performance of the season — (but I don’t do stage work anymore:)

Just catching up on the comics I missed when I was out of town. That strip a few days ago on wearing sandals and no stockings to the office hit a nerve. I have very deformed feet. Can’t get them into the standard shoes – I have to have foot-shaped shoes. Sandals are fine if they don’t rub on a particular part of my toes. And I don’t find sandals ugly or too casual.
As to stockings or not, I honestly don’t remember. It was a long time ago… but I do remember hating the very idea of a dress code altogether.
