Actually, Mr. Pinkley, that would be “The Apprentice.” Back when, you know, it was actually good.

U people are vicious. It is extremely likely that the boss’ head may be on the chopping block next. Look both ways b4 u cross the street. If u don’t it is highly likely people will get hurt. It is not good for anyone to get hurt but it is soooo regrettable that those who get hurt are not only those who do not look both ways b4 they cross the street. Prov 24:11-12

I’ve been laid off several times and survived many layoffs where I did not lose my job. This comic is actually pretty accurate, other than the boss verbalizing what was going to happen. Sure, we all wish to have lifetime employment, but in many cases that is unrealistic. For some reason, I couldn’t get comics to come up earlier (I think it was my browser), so I missed my best window of opportunity this morning. Anyway, a belated hello to legaleagle, Susan, Aaron, gmforde, *GsMom, Billy, KFG, rgcviper, lindz.coop, hendelca, Mona, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, soonergal, lippyfish and all the other Cathy nuts rolling around here today!

I spent 12 years at GE, 3 years at GE half-time while becoming a paramedic, and now 12 more years as paramedic/firefighter. So far the Force has been with me. We’re short staffed sometimes so I’m not overly worried. As for Mr P. he’s making my eyes roll around in my head doing loop-the-loops. Ow. Oww. Owww.

lightenup maybe it’s cookies or something like it. I have to reset cookies for goComics once in a while. Mom! has had trouble with the Internet in general. I usually sign on on to Verizon when I’m having connection trouble to see if there are any outages nearby.

    Hi Mom!:-D

I lived through this scenario with only a slight difference. The boss’s speech in April was something like – you will all be gone by he end of August but some of you will be leaving earlier. Funny enough – my supervisor was the first one gone – I lasted until the end of August. Rather sad it was – the last project I had was to completely undo the work of a year and a half. The new purchased billing system did not work (which is what led to the shutdown of the entire computer department.)! On the bright side, it led me to where I am now with my own company.

Cue the obligatory eye-roll, tonight due to the boss.

However, for once in my life, I’m with Cathy 100% on this one.

I vote for leaving in digust on Cathy’s own. Who needs a nut job boss when you’re trying to become a reformed nut job. Note I’m giving Cathy a bit of credit here. Reformed. :-D

LMB and I have been playing soccer at GU. The little guy scored a goal on an assist. Yeah, LMB rocks. He’s now the “Awwww Puppy” as y’all might understand.
