Bad start to the week — my best bud was hurt overnight while on an EMS call. Whoever was supposed to be watching traffic didn’t do his/her job. A car took out Aaron and his shift partner Gabe, plus a fender on the ambulance. Then he/she bolted, so it’s a hit and run.

Aaron’s right hip is shattered. Gabe (awesome guy) has a trashed knee and dislocated hip. He’ll be out of surgery before Aaron is. Not much else to tell. I’ll try to come back this evening. If not, then tomorrow morning. Send good thoughts to both guys, huh?

Wow, prayers going up. We had a similar situation where a driver caused one accident, drove off then coming back through saw the police and ambulance and thought he was caught, tried to speed up and go off road to avoid capture and hit a firetruck.

Oh no!!! I’m so sorry to hear that!! Thank you for letting us know, Billy. Please give Aaron and Gabe hugs from me and let them know that a group of caring people are thinking of them, praying for their full recovery and sending their love. Stupid, self-centered people! I know how bad the drivers in DC can be, and that’s such a shame that someone wouldn’t pay attention to an emergency vehicle. I hope they get caught and punished appropriately.

Oh no Billy, poor Aaron and Gabe. I will definitely keep them in my prayers as well. Hoping for a speedy recovery and a fast take down for that careless driver.

I’m fried. Aaron’s out of surgery and resting. I’m going to bed.

Billy, please pass this * HUG* on to both Aaron and Gabe – and save some of it for you too as I am sure you need one by now. Please keep us posted (after you get some rest)

Hi Billy I hope Aaron and Gabe will be ok and send my best to all three of you.So sorry I will keep all of you in my prayers.Why in the world can’t people just do the right thing.This should not of happen it makes me very mad.Who ever did it should be put under the jail.Hope all gets better
