There was a guy living in my area whose house was so full of junk, the only way someone could possibly get in was to climb in through the roof. The neighbors kept complaining until it was finally condemned by a judge.

Good morning frightenup, legaleagle, Aaron, Billy, GsMom and the rest.

The only thing I can’t find fault with is the fudge ripple. Cathy being Cathy. Now that I know the world is safe from her being too much of a nutjob, I’m going back to sleep for a while.

Morning Susan and shyygirl. Hi fellow Cathyites arriving. Bonjour mon ami frightenup

    Hi mom!

Cathy, put everything that you’ve been moving from room to room in a big box. Put today’s date on it and take the box to the basement (to join your old purse). Chances are that one year from now you will realize there was nothing in the box that you had to have. Take it to the dump on its anniversary!Billy – thanks for the reading suggestions yesterday. Will definitely check out the Odd Thomas series. shygirl – that is a really scary hoarding story! Have a great weekend, everyone!

This is like when she moved stuff from one closet / room to another earlier this year. I don’t think she had any fudge ripple ice cream then to calm her nerves.

Morning Susan I slept tight and well. :-) Morning / afternoon fellow Cathyites.

frightenup we hope you’ll do us proud in Paris. Just be careful to pronounce bonsoir correctly. If you say “bon sewer” you’ll shatter what’s left (not much) of French/American international relations. No pressure.

Hi Mom! :-D Miss me yet?

I spent more time picking out my last purse than I did buying my house. So, I’m kinda with Cathy on this subject. LOL!!!

This site was down every time I checked it yesterday.

FRIGHTENUP, just read your BIG news, and am truly excited for you and your husband. How wonderful.

I’m not posting much right now, some serious health issues with several members of my family, so not much time for me.

Hi to JR, and LIL, and all members of the clan.

    Safe trip, and have fun!!

Hell must have frozen over because I’ve been identifying with Cathy more this week than I ever thought was possible — or that I’d like to admit!!!!!

My last birthday, I treated myself to a new, bigger purse that I use all the time (and it’s black, of course!). It has some pockets on the inside and outside that help me find things I use the most a lot quicker than I could with the old one, which was way too small for my needs. I have other, smaller purses to match different-colored outfits that I use whenever I’m going someplace fancy (like the theater, for instance) and I don’t need to carry around as many things for that particular event like I do the rest of the time.

Meanwhile, today’s Cathy reminds me of what I’ve been doing much of my summer: I started out cleaning my cluttered office and sometimes, things I came across that needed to be put away elsewhere would often lead me off on a different cleaning/organizing tangent than the one I had originally started on . . . which can make life a little bit difficult when you’re trying to get one particular thing done before even thinking about moving on to something else! While I didn’t get everything done I had wanted to, I did so much better than I ever thought I would — which is a REALLY good feeling to have!!! My office is so much more functional now with all the things I really need for today filed away into properly labeled folders and everything else that was obsolete and no longer needed was thrown into the recycle bin. I got to a good enough stopping place that I can live with (for now, at least!) and when the holidays are over, I’ll get back to work on the rest and (hopefully!) get it all completely finished up then.

HI, AARON, DR. BILLY & LMB!!!!!

Aaron: I missed both you and Billy (not to mention all my other peeps here!) very much every single day I’ve been away!!!!! This past week has been really hectic with our out-of-town guest staying with us, which we’ve been preparing for off and on for the last 3 weeks or so. And while seeing them again was very nice (as it’s been 2 years since the last time we did), now that they’re gone, it’s also really great to have our house back to normal again!!!!! ;-)

lightenup: Hope you have a really wonderful time in Paris!!!!! It’s doubtful I’ll ever get lucky enough to visit there myself so I’m just going to have to live vicariously through you! P.S.: How’s lil’lightenup doing these days? Hopefully she’s feeling better now! Are the kids going with you or is this just something special for only you and your husband to enjoy? ;-)

Good evening, lightenupjr., lil’lightenup, Dr. K.F.G. (wherever you are!), Susan, lindz.coop, rgcviper, gmforde, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, hendelca, Gator007, legaleagle48, mollie05, Anona Mouse, catsarge10, millie p, soonergal, Bronzepony, Molly mcgee, simpsonfan2, Shyygirl27, Violet Bay, AndiJ, BJIllistrated, ncalifgirl58, summerdog, Terri, ruizuno1, Wolf Emperor, FinnyGirl, ellisaana, marmar in MI, J. Short, janinabarnes and all the REST of the “Cathy” fanatics joining us here tonight. As always, it’s really great to “see” you all and if you’re new here . . . WELCOME TO CATHY’S NUTHOUSE!!!!! GLAD YOU’RE JOINING IN ON ALL THE FUN!!!!! ;-)

    It’s a vicious cycle, Cathy.

… but still worthy of an eye-roll.

Hope you’re all having a nice weekend.

Ouch! Yup – way to close to home. This is how I clean – almost. There is not enough room in my lab to sort things out so it gets moved to the rec room. As I sort the stuff, some goes back in the lab, some to the library/office, and the rest is garbage/recycling. Part way through, my library gets too full so move stuff to the rec room joining the lab stuff there. Somehow I now have not enough room to move things in the lab and the library and still stuff left in the rec room. Time to start over again with a narrower gauge of what is to keep. Good evening fellow Cathyites. Hope you are all having a pleasant weekend – even if you are packing for Paris!
