Mom: We used to have a big eating free-for-all before New Year's because we knew we'd be starting diets. The last chocolate! The last caramel! The last nut bread! Eat today before it's banned forever! But now we have a healthy relationship with food! There are no big last flings with the cookie platter because there are no big diets looming. There are no diets looming because we are responsible, evolved advocates of a healthy food program for life! If we indulge today, it is for one informed, educated reason, and one alone!
