Charlene: I deleted my husband's golf course photos from our digital camera's memory card to make room for my sunset shots. He deleted my sunsets to free up space for his pictures of power boats. I went crazy and told him we needed a bigger card..He said we'd have plenty of room if I weren't hogging it all with identical shots no one will ever look at! The new battleground: Digital closet space.

Now, memory cards have much more space. Mine has space for over 1,000 pictures. Good morning, Cathy clan!

People take too many pictures on their digital cameras, most of which are meaningless. I have a CD with 300 pics of my granddaughter’s wedding.
Each picture is in triplicate. One in black and white, one in sepia, and one in color. Only about 12 of the colored ones interest me. And those took a while to find in all the others.
Who needs all that?

I miss my Kodak. But it doesn’t make much difference. My photos are still in boxes. At least a camera takes up less room. lol Happy day all.

Too bad she never thought of uploading them or getting a spare card. lol

Back when you had 12, 24, or 36 frames on a roll of film, you had to be very selective about what pictures to take. Wait, am I yearning for a “simpler time”? lol.Happy Thursday, Cathy Clan!

Just a couple of observations;1) a roll of 35 mm color print film $ 7.99 Developing same $ 13.49 for a total of 21.48 for 36 shots, good bad or otherwise.
2) Digital memory card 16 gig 15.95 no developing charges Digital prints $0.09 each (walmart)
No wonder digital photographers shoot more.

We’ve got a memory card (plus a spare or 2) that holds about 1000 pictures but whenever we take any, my husband immediately transfers them to his computer and, after we decide which ones to keep and which ones to delete, they’re then put on a back-up flash drive. Even if we only had one SD card between us that didn’t hold a whole lot of pictures [do they even make cards like that anymore?!], by doing it that way, there’s no need to ever worry about running out of space or deleting each other’s pictures to make room for our own. What’s so difficult about that?
Hi, rgcviper!
Hello and Happy Thursday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Hope everyone had a really nice day today.

Yup—I’m with the “download and delete” group above.
I would say that’s normally common sense, but this IS Cathy and her friends we’re talking about.
HI, MOM. Greetings, Clan.
