Cathy: I want to set an example of taseteful dress for the young women in my office! Saleswoman: How about this cute cowgirl skirt? Cathy: In a world of skimpy separates, I will be a role model of chic professionalism! Saleswoman: Pair it with a peek-a-boo poet blouse! Cathy: Bring me sleek, sophisticated clothes that will make them turn to me -- not the sit-coms -- for guidance! Women: Ooh! Where'd you find the suede corset?? Saleswoman: See how they run to you already...

I think there’s a translation problem between Cathy and Mabel. “Tasteful dress” does NOT mean cowgirl skirt, peek-a-boo poet blouse or leather corset. Susan, I don’t know of any office that would allow such a distracting outfit unless the job was for a theatre, a strip club or a cowboy/Western re-enactment show. They’re going a bit over the top in this one.Good morning, Cathy clan!

I hate to say it, but that last panel is the best Cathy has ever looked. Maybe she should embrace her inner tramp! LOL

Now all Cathy needs is a whip to make her Dominatrix costume complete!!!!! ;-)
[Sorry, everyone. I hope no one found that offensive but that was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw panel #4 and I simply couldn’t resist saying it!!!!!] ;-)

This is another strip that was dropped by our (bleeping) newspaper. I’m glad to have found it again.
