Me too, Susan! I know Cathy is all about beating a dead horse, going over the top, and that comic strip themes usually last a week, but I’m over this one too.Good morning, Cathy clan! Thank you, friends, for your support! It’s just nice to have a place where I can go and let it out so that i can deal with it in person.Yes, my husband is serious. He was told about a European position last spring, but the position didn’t exist (still doesn’t) and there are others who would be applying for it, so I thought I’d at least have some warning (and there’s no guarantee that he would get the position). But his boss brought it up again 2 days ago and apparently now he is the #1 choice for it. Of course, now that my mom needs attention that changes things. Hubby and I are going to talk about it tonight, so we’ll see what happens. Personally, I can’t see myself moving out of the country right now, so I’m hoping this is something that we can work out because it’s a good opportunity for him. Sis, I too hope we can meet one day! I’ve never been to Indiana, or if you are ever in the Atlanta airport (doesn’t everyone have to go through there for something?), I"d love to meet you. :-)Teresa – I know you meant well, but I’ve already done all of that. What was an ordinary life has now turned upside down and inside out and I just need a place to vent and talk. I’m pretty good at solving problems, and figuring out what can and cannot be done and then doing it (or letting it go). I am very thankful that my mom is alive and doing well, but it still breaks my heart to see her this way. I’m sure you can understand this.

We just KNEW Cathy would end up shopping! Are those see-thru yoga pants not far in her future?

@lightenup – your mom presumably has care, you have siblings, and Skype exists for a reason. I know you only see it as another “problem” to be dealt with right now, but I really hope you go to Spain! Obviously only you can decide what’s right for you, but travel is so wonderful and mind-expanding and I know if I were in your position, my mother would have a cow if I didn’t go.
