Charlene: It's a set! A set in a catalog! Cathy: But if I tried a little harder...If I could just get rid of... Charlene: Listen to what you're saying! Cathy: If the skinny supermodes don't get me, their scrawny little desks will. Charlene: Wow. The pens all match the flower arrangement...
Oops – it is rather late tonight – ended up posting a day late! My desk has a little clean spot just now – a very rare occurrence lately. It is going to stay that way for about a week and a half. Then, when my wife and I get back from our visit to Hawaii, it will disappear under a load of 3 weeks worth of work. (Work to do always seems to double when you are away). In all my years of working (and that is over 4 decades now) I have never had a clean desk. One boss tried to insist – he gave up when I explained that I have a good memory for physical locations so if I cleaned my desk off every night it would take a couple of hours the next morning to find everything again – and that would be a couple of hours where I would not be programming. Hope all goes well for the Clan this next week or so. I hate it when I get back and find unpleasant things have happened to someone in our happy group.
