Don't look! No one look! "A tiny trim," I said... "Just freshen it up"... Why did I let this happen? Why didn't I run?? Look at me!! No!! Don't look! Don't look!! Electra: Never so beautiful...never so pitiful...as the day my human comes home from the groomer.

You have to learn to be firm with your groomer, Cathy.

Um—Uber Nut-Job alert … I think I’m just gonna back away slowly here, with my hands raised in self-defense.
Not sure if you guys follow the “Pearls before swine” comic, but the one today made me think of you here in Cathy-land.
HI, MOM. Happy Sunday, “Cathy” Clan.

I was a hairdresser in the 60’s. A very fun time to be one. Lots of teasing and hairspray……you couldn’t go wrong. I always showed my ladies what I would take off before the first cut of the scissors. I was a very hip “groomer”.

I don’t know why Cathy doesn’t do what I do: my hair is long and all one length, too [although certainly not “stringy” like hers!!], so about every 3 or 4 months, I have my husband whack about 2" of any split-end damage off the bottom for me. While Cathy doesn’t have a husband right now to do that for her, she could always ask Charlene, Andrea or even her mother to do it instead. Saves time, money — not to mention occasional heartache! — and all she needs are 2 mirrors, a good pair of hair-cutting scissors and someone she can trust to do the job right and not butcher it [like was done today]. No big deal.
QuietStorm27: Absolutely loved your “stuck-in-Cathy’s-closet” comment yesterday!!! HILARIOUS!!!!! :-D
Hi, rgcviper! Congrats on your 6,000th comment yesterday! I’ve got a ways to go before I get there myself . . . especially since “Cathy” is pretty much the only comic strip I comment on these days. I love Pearls Before Swine and read it every day before I come here. I would have posted the link to today’s comic myself if you hadn’t already beaten me to it [one of the hazards of getting here so late in the day, I guess]!!! ;-) B/t/w: do you think Stephan Pastis’s wife has really left him, or do you think he’s simply making that up for comic strip laughs? I tried Googling to find out for sure but didn’t see anything mentioning it. Still, you just never know sometimes.
Hello and Happy Sunday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Hope everyone’s been having a nice weekend so far and that you’re staying safe and warm!
