Even in the middle of planning her wedding, Cathy thinks she’s “single and free”? This does not bode well for the future…

I’ve got a major newsflash for Cathy: she and Irving may still bea few months away from saying “I Do,” but she is no longer “single and free” — and hasn’t been since the day she agreed to marry him. If, even now, she still isn’t thinking in terms of “we” and “us” when it comes to the two of them, then she’s got no business getting married and should cancel the whole thing before things go any further. Irving may not be perfect, but even he deserves better than a fiancé who considers herself “single and free” de-spite all the planning she’s been doing for their upcoming wed-ding in February. Seems like that kind of attitude would be doom-ing their marriage before it ever even gets started! :-P

Looks like everyone took this weekend, extended, off. Just got back from an annual reunion camping trip myself. Of course, the first think I did was catch up on the Cathy Comments. And thank you GretchensMom, it was a really great weekend.

    Ow—I felt the [eye-roll] today.

And on a related note, today’s Lockhorns comic made me think of you all here. (Tried to post the pic directly, but it was too big again. Technology …)

    HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.

Since these are so far off the wedding script of the past few months, I’m thinking this was one of the CG vacation rerun arcs. She did that for several summers back around this time period.
