I’m with Andrea on this one… It’s still Irving no matter how many coats of paint you put on him. And, well, she’s still Cathy and they’re a match made in… Nutsville..Hello Cathy friends! Got home last night from a quick trip to the beach. It was nice, but I’m really not a beach person. 2 days and I’m done sitting in the hot sun doing nothing. I did sleep a lot though, which I really needed.We’re off tomorrow on another trip. This is all my husband’s doing. Personally, after 3 weeks away in July and now a long weekend at the beach, I’m ready to get my house in order, but he wants a proper vacation and since he works so hard, how can I argue? I hope you all are having a good summer! Miss you!

So, Irving moved on from being a selfish so-and-so. It happens. And Cathy Guisewite was right all along…it’s always been Irving for Cathy, and Cathy for Irving. Except they wasted their younger years dancing around in an up and down relationship more like a couple of teens on hormonal overdrive…for 30 years.

Irving never moved on. Cathy just adapted, and no other woman would put up with him.

Andrea, you’ve been married for how long and have two kids. Just shut up and be glad your friend has a chance for domestic bliss.

Cathy can’t seriously believe everything she’s saying to Andrea, can she?!? Irving hasn’t changed and become anymore “new and improved” than she has! I think they both just gave up and settled for each other because they’re so darned nit-picky that not a single person either one of them dated in the past was ever “good enough” for them. That, and the fact that with all of their little, let’s say, “quirks,” no one else wanted them for the long haul, either.
