What’s that old saying? “The nut doesn’t fall far from the tree.” Run for your life, bridal-shop sales clerk! eyeroll

Maybe I’m odd, but I hate shopping. I’m much more likely to grab the nearest thing that’s the right size and matches the worn-out item I’m replacing, and that’s it. I’ve never tried on anything in the shop, apart from shoes.

@legaleagle – You hit the nail right on the head! I’m with you Anona, I don’t like to try on in the store and I don’t spend hours shopping unless I’m looking online and that’s only because I keep having to stop and go back to it. I just don’t have the time or patience.

Hello Cathy clan! My 16 year old son and 10 year old daughter get off to school fine, my 14 year old mini-me is very difficult. She’s not a morning person and moves very slowly – making every school day a real challenge.

Wow, I think bridal shop employees have a ton of patience, but even she can’t handle Cathy’s mom..Hello Cathy clan! QuietStorm, I have one of those also. I suppose one day, they’ll learn, but it’s so frustrating now. I have friends who get up 20 min before they have to leave in the morning, whereas we’re more like 90 min.

I’m picturing a white satin, A-line strapless gown with no embellishments on it, and a very short white fur shrug over it. (can be faux fur) Devine for her winter wedding. Hair up with real white roses pinned in. Strappy white satin, pointed toe, high heels shoes. No jewelry except very good grade, small single white pearl earrings.

I hate shopping for shoes and clothes so I do as little of it as poss-ible. But when I do go shopping, I prefer to go alone. I don’t like the feeling of either being rushed so that the other person can get out of the store as quickly as they can (like my husband does) . . . nor do I like them perusing every aisle, looking at everything, and slowing me down from doing what I need to do so that I can get out of the store as quickly as I can (like my mother does). It’s just so much easier going it alone. That way, I can take as much time as I need without irritating someone else (or getting irritated by them myself).

janinabarnes: I have that same problem too, so I know exactly how you feel!!! :-(

Hi, rgcviper! Glad you enjoyed yesterday’s PCST comic strip. That parrot said what I often think whenever I read a Ziggy strip and he’s got no pants on. Like today’s, for instance. He’s walking his dog down the street past an auction house and he’s definitely not wearing pants! Sitting at home alone and watching t.v. (likehe was yesterday) I can (maybe) understand. But not wearingany pants while out on a public street?! I’d call the cops if I saw something like that where I live!!! AACK!!! :-P

Hello and Happy Wednesday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope every-one had a really nice day today! :-)

OK, legaleagle48—I swear I was going to say this tonight: “The apple doesn’t fall far from the nut-job” …

Then, first comment, there you were. Spooky! (Or are you psychic … ?)

    HI, MOM. Greetings, “Cathy” Clan.
