Little dogs are great—it’s the owners who treat them like precious babies that are the problem. I had a guy I worked with once start talking about horrible little dogs are, barky, bitey, etc. I told him my dog wasn’t like that. He met her and fell in love with her. If you treat small dogs like dogs, they are great. If you are like my neighbor, who and I quote said “I know he chews up shoes, barks, etc., but he’s just so cute I can’t discipline him”—you get the stereotypical small dog.
We’ve got the best little dog in the whole world! I freely admit that she’s 100% completely spoiled rotten, but we began teaching her at a very young age how to be well-mannered. She’s friendly to-wards people but never jumps on them, she never chews on any-thing she shouldn’t, and she rarely ever barks unless she has to go out. She’s an absolute angel and we couldn’t have asked for a better or more perfect little 4-legged family member than her! ♥
