    I always wonder about their grandchildren. You know Mr. Smith-Jones marries Miss Alastair-Cochran. Is there child then called Smith-Jones-Alastair Cochran? Isn’t that kind of cruel?

    Of course, whatever she filled out her marriage license with is her new legal name – at least, that’s how it worked when I got married.

    As a software developer I have had to increase the size of a last name field at least twice to accommodate very long hyphenated names. Nor more than one hyphen so far. Happy Tuesday Cathy Clan. I hope the sun is shining in everyone’s life today.
