Cathy: I should get up and start the work I brought home. I should get up and pay the bills. I should get up and do the laundry. I should get up and address Christmas cards. Duty calls. Pie screams.
That was kind of me yesterday. My daughters & I helped decorate our church, then my husband & we did the grocery shopping. After the groceries were put away and we had lunch I just wanted to relax, but I knew that if I got comfy, the dishes would never get done, so I did that and a few other errands first. THEN I could “veg”.
Today’s comic strip reminds me that Sundays are weigh-day for my husband and me. Imagine our surprise and delight when we stepped on the scale this morning and saw that despite all the eating we’ve been doing (or, at least felt like we’ve been doing, anyhow) over the last 3 days, it read exactly the same as it did last week! While we’re normally a little disappointed whenever we don’t see our numbers going in a more downward direction from one week to the next, for them to actually stay the same as opposed to going UP over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend was quite a triumphant feeling for us all the same! ;-)
Hi, rgcviper! :-)
lightenup: Welcome back, Sis! Hope you had a really great time visiting your mom and family while you were gone! :-)
Hello and Happy Sunday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone had a very nice weekend! :-)
By some weird, sad coincidence I’m eating pie while I read this. Then I have to finish my homework.

Mom glad you were able to avoid the crazy rush. I went out once at 6am on Black Friday and got rear ended in the parking lot. Ever since then I avoid it or wait for Cyber Monday like lightenup.
–
Speaking of lightenup, welcome home sis! Get some much needed rest today so you can click away tomorrow! :-)

Hello to the rest of my Cathy friends. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

It’s all about priorities, huh, Cathy? I like how she and the pets had the epiphany at the same moment, too.
HI, MOM. Good Sunday Morning, “Cathy” Clan.
