This saleslady is completely full of crap! Who washes their jeans in hot water, anyhow? Cathy should just do what I do: wash them in cold water (inside out if they’re dark), put them in the dryer for about 15 to 20 minutes then hang to finish drying. The only time I’ve ever had a shrinkage problem was with the gaining of some weight — in which case, I’d go ahead and buy the next size up ….. just in case. Buying the perfect-sized pair of jeans is already hard enough as it is without this kind of nonsense to go along with it! :-P

    Hi, rgcviper! :-)

lightenup: How’s Jr. doing? Hope she’s continuing to improve every single day! Any official diagnosis yet?

QuietStorm27: Glad to hear your baby girl is on the mend and that you like your new job ….. for the most part, anyhow.

hendelca: Welcome back! Glad to hear you had a great time on your trip but we’re happy to have you back here with us all the same! ;-)

Hello and Happy Friday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone had a really great day today! :-)

Buy them if they fit in the store – really fit, not almost fit. Wash them in cold water, throw them in the dryer, but don’t over-dry them. If they are made from pre-washed denim, they won’t shrink very much. Once you put them on again, they will stretch.

    Overthink things much, sales lady?

If I had to go through all that to buy a pair of jeans, I’d stick to sweats….in fact, that’s exactly what I do. I even have sweats with creases sewn into the legs.
