Silly rabbit… when will you learn “fad diets” are nonsense.

Yeah. I have fallen for those ‘fat’ diets a couple of times. Lost weight too. Couldn’t keep up the diet or keep down the weight. Just eat less. It works.

Yeah, you loose a few pounds…and then they come back and bring some friends!

I agree with all the comments so far today – about fad diets, eating less, and easier said than done especially. One issue I have with just eating less is eventually we go out to eat – and I am full 1/4 of the way through the meal. I wish restaurants would offer smaller portions on request – I would even be willing to pay full price. I just hate wasting food – something about the way I was brought up.
Another beautiful sunny but cold day today. Perfect for a holiday Monday. I hope everyone enjoys today even if you have to work.

If she really had a “lifetime commitment to sensible eating”, then some chocolate wouldn’t matter. Firstly, one pound of fat (one!) is 3500 calories. I can’t imagine anyone, even Cathy, eating 3500 calories extra of chocolate in a day. And even if she did, then she can continue her sensible eating and take that off with a little cutting back here and there. Believe me, I do it all the time. I eat chocolate almost daily and am in the middle of Girl Scout cookies season. I am doing my best to support the girls in the neighborhood (yes, I know I can donate boxes, but I enjoy Thin Mints once a year), and I know I’ve put on a pound or so. But once I finish enjoying these boxes, I’ll continue my exercise program and cut out some treats, and those pounds will be gone. Without a fad diet. Yes, I know it’s hard and requires some willpower, but I’m fine with that, and I know I can do it. I can be stubborn, but have decided long ago to be stubborn about things that are worth it.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Monday! Have a great day, all!

I’m with you, lightenup…I eat chocolate every day, but only a few squares of a bar at a time. The only fad diet I ever found to work was the 3-day diet many years ago. I would go on it once/month and it did keep the pounds down. Now I just stick to weight watchers and it works for me…again, weigh in once/month keep the goal reachable all through the month, and all is free.
