I had to give up computer games. I really don’t have all that much time to waste any more. I read comics. ;)

Aww, poor dogs! They just want some time with their human, and to go outside and play. I would think that time outside doing things with the dogs would be just as beneficial for Irving’s brain as these computer tasks. Plus the affection that we get from our pets affects our brains in positive ways too. Go with the dogs, Irving!
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Thursday! Have a great day, all!

Irving right now is being all of us with technology.

I lost my sweet little girl 21 months ago after having had her for wonderful 17 years, and I still continue to miss and mourn her absence from my life each and every single day. She was very, very special to me and I’d give anything in the WORLD if only I could have her back here with me again for just one more day! But unfortunately, I can’t. :’-(
That’s why this comic saddens me today. Irving has two beautiful little fur-babies that love and want to spend time with him, but all he wants to do is play around with those stupid “computerized brain exercises” instead. If he absolutely must do that, then he should do it while they’re napping for heaven’s sake! Dogs are only on this earth with us for a very short period of time and it breaks my heart to see him (and people like him) so carelessly squan-dering every single minute of their precious little lives by ignoring them when he could be giving them (as well as himself) a much better, happier life through his time and attention because one day, those darling girls are going to be gone forever and if he’s any kind of a decent human being, he’s going to deeply regret the time he would’ve, could’ve, should’ve spent with them, but didn’t ….. and by then, it will be far too late to do anything about it! :-(

As lightenup said, getting outside with the dogs will be far more beneficial for Irving’s brain than playing those games on the computer. Besides, as Gretchen’s Mom pointed out, time passes quickly and soon the dogs won’t be there anymore.
I think we are getting close to spring – with the rain all day yesterday and the sun and heavy winds today we have lost well over a foot of snow. I can see green grass in many places on the lawn. Wait, 55F in March???? It is still March isn’t it?
Another sign of spring: my wife keeps a pair of boots by the basement door so she can go outside and do a little shoveling. She has been creating a path through the snow down to the lake. Two days ago she did just that – but felt something inside one of her boots – and that something was moving. After shovellng a while she came back in and felt inside the boot only to find that the moving thing was a mouse. So, at her request, I took the boot outside and banged it against the ground until the mouse fell out and ran away. Just another fun day. I hope your day is fun too – without the mouse.
