Irving: You bought more clothes for our trip?? What's wrong with all these?? Cathy: That's a "normal suitcase" wardrobe. If we want to save the $25 luggage checking fee, I need a "carry-on bag" wardrobe! Clothes that squash flat, shake out, drip dry, mix 'n' match and transition from the beach to the ballroom! Irving: $340?? Cathy: I also found a new carry-on with 1 7/8" more space!

I’d like to see them in a ballroom trying to dance. They’d probably be fighting over who gets to lead. We just flew and those huge carry-ons that barely fit in the bin drive me nuts. It’s the airlines’ fault that people bring them on, but people hold up the line trying to get their carry-on in the overhead and they’re shoving it as hard as they can. It’s like trying to fit the crescent rolls back into the container.

I like a carry-on with soft sides. It fits pretty much any space.

I felt this coming on. Any excuse for our Cathy to shop some more. Do you think she will buy more while on her trip?

She is not wrong. I wouldn’t have spent $340, but clothes that work in a carry on DO need to be versatile.

Lucky me, I’m short enough to shove my carry-on under the seat in front of me and still have room for my legs.
