I remember the valentine box in grade school. We put valentines’ cards in the boxes for all our classmates. I never really thought about it until I got old enough to not like some of those guys much and to like one or two of those girls too much.
Institutional greeting cards are the bane of modern life. I finally got my insurance company to quite sending me birthday cards. It was especially bad when it was the only one I received during a couple of years.
Still happening today! Got two offers for Valentine discounts on software – one I already own and the other I do not want.
Special day today – I leave the house shortly for my 4th Covid shot. Got the permission for it two weeks ago but had to wait for a vaccine clinic that accepted those over the age of 11. I could have gotten an appointment for the shot but none were available for the brand I have been getting.
