We have one of those! No way it was ever in one of our closets though. If we had a closet with that much room, it would have been crammed full of other, even more useless stuff (and of course I mean “stuff” in the George Carlin sense, i.e., “sh*t”.)
I never liked the stationary bikes. Even in the gym. They made my butt sore before I really got any real exercise out of them. Big fan of tread mills though.
I had a NORDIC SKI MACHINE. Top brand when they first came out. You needed a LOT of room for that baby. It was a great workout and fun to do. Hard on the joints. I couldn’t GIVE it away when I wanted it out of my house.
Future archeologists will find these machines, puzzle over the myriad household photos of them in backgrounds of various room and probably concluded they were an exotic form of sculpture, possibly evolved from the Bauhaus School. :)
This is why when it comes to fitness machines, I stick with the ones in my gym. For cardio, I alternate between the elliptical and the treadmill. Then, I do some strength training. I also try and do a lot of walking when the weather’s nice. YouTube workout videos were a lifesaver for me during lockdown. But fitness machines for my apartment? Space is too precious for that (plus those things are expensive)!
