OK, can I have your tickets if you aren’t going to use them?

I am not a fan of the stay-cation. I know it’s all the fad with people who are tired of the hassle of traveling, but I’m not one of them. Just getting to the airport can be an epic worthy of sagas. I want to be “not here” sometimes.

Golly, by not going, he missed the “cancel two of your flights” in one week unadvertised special.

Earlier this month, I went to the “Quad Cities” of Iowa and Illinois for the long-delayed memorial service for my Sister in Law’s mom (who died, not from Covid, in March 2020). While we had some sad moments (it was a memorial after all) we had some really good times also. Later this summer, I am considering taking a few days in Richmond, VA. And my brother (who’s a law professor) will be in London from Labor Day to mid December for a residency. And he is encouraging me to spend a week over there. So I am still traveling on occasion. After spending nearly three years cooped up in their homes, people want to get out (even if it’s a hotel in their home town) for a few days. Humans are social animals after all.

Well, in this case, looks like the journey is more significant / memorable than the destination …

    HI, MOM. Hello, “Cathy” Clan.
