When I was a small child, I used to worry that minor offenses were cumulative. My father was in the military and often gone for 90 days to year. I accumulated so many “wait till your father gets home” offenses that I was afraid they would add up to a capital offense. Of course, when Dad did get home, the last thing he was interested in doing was punishing four young boys for “expired” wrongs. :)

I firmly believe there is a “statute of limitations” for apologies and thank you’s. If you don’t do it within a week, forget it and just do something nice.

In these days of the Internet, take a picture of yourself wearing or using the gift and send a Thank You email.

Since the real world does not exist while I am on vacation I certainly do not sit around worrying about things I should have done. That worrying is best left for when I am trying to get to sleep when not on vacation.

I hope everyone is having a fun weekend and not worrying about the past.

    Coulda, shoulda, woulda …

I understand where they’re coming from, but maybe they ought to just go ahead and knock out their to-do items instead of wishing they had? Easier said than done sometimes, but still.

HI, MOM. Happy Sunday, “Cathy” Clan.
