I definitely don’t have this sort of relationship with my daughters. Of course, we all know that having her mom in the same room will NOT help the situation much.
On a side note, it’s always fun when we get their profiles and see Cathy’s cute side nose. :-)
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Tuesday! Have a great day, all!
When we are young having parents around definitely does not help. As we get older they do help a bit. Then we find ourselves wishing they could be with us to help all the time.
Fun night last night. My wife was feeling very weak and her angles swelled up almost to her knee so when we arrived in North Bay we went straight to the emergency room. After a 5 hour wait they finally called her in and put her on an IV to build up her potassium. Since that was going to take 4 hours and it was 2:00am I went back to the hotel for some sleep. I did not have to wake up to take her into day surgery as she was transferred from ER by the hospital volunteers. I picked her up at 10:00am minus one large gallstone. Next episode is Friday when she gets her gall bladder removed to prevent any more blockages. Finally getting to where she will be able to eat and put back on some of the weight she has lost. Now it is time for a nap since I did not get quite enough sleep.
A fellow I worked for (half a century ago) had his gall bladder out. (He’d been blaming it on ulcers.) Being an actuary, he consoled himself with the knowledge that, if he survived the operation, he’d be rated normal for insurance purposes. Also it’s one of the oldest operations. And after Samuel Pepys had it, his diaries became much more interesting.

If you can’t be helpful, be lovable. …works for dogs.

When I stop at a gas station on a long trip and buy a small bottle of water, I still hear my father’s voice saying, “You paid a dollar for what !”

Well, cleaning closets is one reason to bring families together. Think of all the memories they’ll make …
