Wow! A whole 8 megabytes! My cell phone (iPhone 12) has 500 times that much memory, and the newest iPhone has twice as much as mine.

In Germany, they call a cell phone a “Handy”. Makes sense.

I remember swapping my pager and Casio Electronic Diary for a Nokia and a Microsoft PocketPC

The down side of the incredible drop in price and physical size of memory is that developers no longer take their time to make programs memory efficient. After all, memory is cheap. Fortunately the increase in program size which causes slower execution has been balanced by increased in processor speed. I will be very happy when the decrease in physical size of electronics will enable me to implant my phone so that it projects the screen onto my retina. Then I might just be able to read the screen without having to search form my reading eyes.

Thank you . We appreciate the 15cm (6") of show you sent us. That is a little short of the 25cm predicted but it is still snowing. Everyone whose income is boosted by winter tourists is smiling today. Snowmobile trails and ski hills should be able to open very soon (and very late).

    Have a fun Saturday today.

The first thing I thought about while reading this comic was the old Hootie & the Blowfish song “Hold My Hand”. Haven’t heard that one in forever, either.

    HI, MOM. Hello, “Cathy” Clan.
