So, you should throw away that issue one of Time magazine from 1923, since it’s more than a month old? Did mom throw away her wedding dress when it was six months since she used it?
Cathy can do both… get rid of things that are no longer wanted and put Mom in another room (don’t get rid of her! :-)). And I agree that you don’t need to get rid of the things that you value or are valuable.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Friday! Have a great day, all!
Only 6 months for clothes? If you live in the North you put away your winter clothes in the spring and your spring/summer clothes in the fall and it may very well be 6 months before you wear them again. And if you didn’t get a chance to read yesterday’s paper why waste money by throwing it out when you can read it today? Magazines are usually kept longer.
learned a long time ago that women (and probably men, as well) like the sound of good advice. They find it soothing without retaining it in any conscious way.
6 months for clothing?? Not likely. It can be a lot longer than 6 months between weddings and funerals and I would hate to have to buy a new suit for each one.
Late reading tonight. Spent the afternoon setting up lighting for tomorrow’s dance recital. My favourite thing to do on a Saturday. Should be fun.
I hope everyone had a fantastic Friday and is looking forward to a fun weekend.

Here in God Forsaken Florida, we have a seasonal clothing ritual, too. In April, we roll up our sleeves. In November, we roll ’em down again.

Seasonal and special purpose clothing should not be thrown out if you haven’t used it recently. I only wear a suit every year or two.

Looks like comic Cathy is picking up her mother by her collar or the neck or something similar? Impressive strength. Feel the love, too.
HI, MOM. Happy Friday, Clan.
