That lunch menu suggests they traveled with children. Possibly ate at an amusement park. No problem: you can walk those calories off. But the rest of the day – wow! Treadmill for weeks!
Our family tends to do the same – eat very well on vacation. On our annual trip to a Disney park we have table service meals every evening including dessert (which I rarely have at home) – and we do have a big breakfast and snack during the day. All that is offset by walking an average of 15km per day. Still, I usually manage to gain up to 2kg – but once my eating returns to normal I lose that weight in a couple of weeks.
Enjoy this fine midweek day – and if you are on vacation, enjoy your meals but keep moving.
I was always surprised that I did not gain weight on vacation (even cruises). I always worried about it, felt like I was eating like a pig, but I guess all the walking and dragging luggage must count for something.

It’s your race. Nobody held a gun on you and forced you to order the highest calorie items on the menu.
