I know this is a comic strip, but it reflects a real-life situation. Men seem to have no problem when they’re required to wear a suit and tie to work. Why can’t there be a dress code for women? For example, the Icelandic parliament used to have a dress code for women, but women MPs objected and got the rules changed so they could wear whatever they wanted as long as it was neat and clean. Men in parliament are still required to wear a dark suit and a tie.

And the Oscar for Best Dramatic Performance goes to… Mr. Pinkley! (applause) ;-) At least Charlene is enjoying the show. I’ll go grab my popcorn too.

Again, just have a general workplace dress code that applies to everyone. And regarding looking/leering, just be an adult and do your job while being respectful of others. If someone has it all hanging out, then just look them in the eyes and talk to them about whatever job stuff you need to talk about. Otherwise move on and let HR deal with compliance with rules.

Hello Cathy friends! Happy Thursday! Have a great day, all!

I see many women wearing what would not have passed for pajamas in the 20th century. Times change. I don’t complain. I don’t leer. However, I do special exercises to improve my peripheral vision. :)

My old office gave up and went casual many years ago, mostly because the guys dressed like slobs. Most guys came to work in t-shirts and ill-fitting, crumpled old pants (and no man looks good in pants anyway) and the same pair of stinky, beat up gym shoes every day. There was a dress code in place saying shirts had to have collars, but the guys argued that the hem around a t-shirt neckline is a collar, and those in charge just gave up.

Something tells me they’re overthinking this whole dress code bit. Not that I expect any serious thinking from these Whack-a-Doodles … ha.
