Reminds me of the traditional Jack Benny Christmas skit: he would drive the clerk (usually Mel Blanc) absolutely crazy by buying a present, having it gift wrapped, then coming back to change his mind two or three times. There was nobody like Mel Blanc to do “losing his mind”.
I think some women would order gifts wrapped in case they did not have time later to wrap it themselves and then re-wrap, if time became available. But who am I to fathom the female mind? I’ve made a lifelong study of many, many women and all I find are more variations – God Bless ’em. :)
Poor Cathy. With a mother like this, it’s no wonder she’s the way she is. She never had a chance from the start because the nut doesn’t fall far from the nut tree! (◔_◔)

The problem with pre-wrapped gifts is, after buying them early and tucking them away, forgetting what is inside the wrapping.
