Take an old CD that you’ll never listen to again, and prop it up in the microwave (use a spool or something non-metallic to lean it against) and then give it 10 or 20 seconds of nuking - full power, kitchen lights OFF. It’s like the scene where the Klingons get phased in the first Star Trek movie. COOL!

After all the experimenting, place a teaspoon of vanilla extract in a glass and heat at full for 45 secs to a minute. Nice smelling microwave again.
