Mona, it probably hasn’t occurred to you that you might share in the blame over this turn of events?

I can see Mona’s point. Someone like that would want to punch the best puppies himself.

Yeah, I’m not blaming Mona for her date punching a puppy either.

Smart Mona! He might believe he’s been stood-up but that’s no excuse for his actions.

Puppy-punchers are bunny-punchers. Stay clear of that one.

Whoa, I forgot about Mona’s tendency to choke and maim on demand. Wow! she can see herself first hand in this guy…not pretty huh girl?

Maybe I haven’t been following long enough – just under a year – but I don’t ever remember seeing Mona choke and maim except maybe verbally. If a guy punches a puppy, he’ll punch a girlfriend – she knows he’s not her type. BTW, in panel 2, she looks really great.

@arsmall & cdward - I’ve been reading through the strip from the beginning and though I haven’t caught up entirely yet, Mona’s goal in life is to go through life without killing anyone [as well as not getting killed]. So he’s not her type. :)

cdward is right …. its in the Eyes. Mona is getting prettier and seems ‘softer’ Maybe she should let a little more Hawaii come back….gradually.

Blind date guy is probably studying for orals. That’ll put you in a puppy-punching mood.

I haven’t actually read the strip, but Mona strangled Lucas. It is on the CLV homepage, as well as the entire comic series. The big thing that happened this year (or was it last year?) was that Lucas forgave Mona and the two actually became friends.

Mona’s put Lucas in the hospital twice, hasn’t she?

And Lucas is far more defenseless and pitiable than a puppy…

I was about to say she who hesitates is lost, but…..
