We’re 2/3 of the way through the Winter Holiday Triangle (harder to navigate than the Bermuda Triangle). One more to go, then we can breathe again for awhile.
I’m not a big fan of New Years, its the start of another year of struggles. I find New Years day to be depressing. When I was younger I found New Years to be a new beginning, now that I am older it’s just another year I gain less control of.
It can be a disorientating time. It’s easy to crash after all the hub-bub of the holidays. Instead of fighting it, I like to welcome the slow down as I find it is the perfect time for reflection, looking back on the year and reminding myself of the small victories as well as the stumbles, and knowing that I did the best that I could, and that each step or misstep was just what I needed to get me where I need to go. I give myself a little rest and self care and self love, so that I might greet the New Year with open arms and an attitude gratitude. Wishing you all a little peace and grace in the New Year!

I find it helpful to have some little treat planned for each day.
