That would be a first. An architect allowing mechanical, plumbing or electrical equipment to have the necessary space for their equipment. One architect I worked with didn’t allow any space for the electrical equipment. So I put the switchboard in the main entrance to the building, making it impossible for anyone to enter the building. The electrical reviewer gave me accolades, saying they would never have been brave enough to do that, congratulations. The architectural reviewer wrote 22 pages of comments about the awful design. The architect got fired (third warning) and I got told to please don’t do that again.
