Hey Fellow Baby, just came back because I forgot to add this one to my Citizen Dog collection. You on vacation again? I’m on next week. No big plans, but it’s nice to be off, even though I like my job. Up now because I have to go to that job in a few minutes! :-D Of course, I can’t sleep in as late as I used to either, even when I’m off!

Dear cleokaya, I just read you note from yesterday. Thank you. I agree with you that if only they could be with us longer…but, the love that they share makes every minute absolutely worth it. Still, at the end, you can actually feel your heart physically breaking. We’ve all been there, and chances are, we all will put ourselves there again. We love these little guys too much not to have them in our lives.
@ Dry—When in doubt at the pound, always bring home two! Of course!!! lolI know you’re enjoying your new family members like we’re getting a kick out of ours!
StelBel, we have put our name in with a rescue dog reject adoption. If they reject a female black Lab, we want her. They have other dogs, but after my Lab experience, I would like another. Very sweet, eager to please dogs.
StelBel Where we got these two is a part of a Foster Program. They have homes that take in stray dogs and cats. This home had a real nice big garage building set up with cages, furniture, carpeting, scratching posts and toys, etc. There were at that time, 10 cats living there. Two had been there about 2 years. They were very well taken care of. I would do something like that if I had the room, but knowing me, I would keep them all! Two of our local vets assist with the shots and medical care. They relie a lot on fundraisers and donations. The local grocery stores also donate food to the foster homes.
