Well, I’ve been gone about three days because of the flu and haven’t even read the comics or even the posts. Nope, not even my favorite Citizen Dog. Just too miserable and wow! the headache that wouldn’t let me focus my eyes!

However bed rest is something I don’t get very often and I was babied and cared for and that made me feel all warm and loved in spite of the rest of me feeling miserable. It balances out.

I have to go back and read all the posts that I missed. I will be busy for a while doing that and catching up on news and events.

Know what? I really missed everyone!

Stay well and happy all my Buddies, StelBel, Dry, Citizen Grog, Sugie, Cleokaya, JP Steve, x_Tech, Lonewolf, Nighthawks, noicant, Plods, and all you Citizen Dog family members

Just me again. I have to tell you that because I couldn’t sleep a good portion of the past couple of nights that I was prowling around the house and in the course of my prowling, I several times looked out the dining room window onto my back deck.

I had been worried because I haven’t seen my opossum for a while but he changed his time schedule and there he was. Of course the raccoon waddles up every night and already has visited tonight for their dinner. Dry cat food in bowls just for them. So both the raccoon and the opposum are still around and enjoying having a guranteed dinner every night.

BUT…..here’s the big news, I also saw a fox that has decided to join the crew. What a beautiful creature he is too. But lots more nervous and anxious that the other two guys.

The cats, curiously enough, just seem to regard them all as memebers of the clan. They mostly just don’t pay any attention to them. And the same goes for the critters. They are at ease with the cats. The fox though, he gets nervous when a cat decides to stretch or saunter thorugh.

So OK, I was really sick and miserable but on the other hand, if I had been feeling good and sleeping I wouldn’t have been awake to see that my opposum and raccoon were still both OK and certainly wouldn’t have had the occasion to get aquainted, even if only through the window, with the fox. He of course, didn’t realize I was spying on him.

On that note, Good Night All!

That’s one pickled herring.PuppybreathGlad to hear you’re feeling better. BTW with all the other critters around your place, do you have many turkeys? Down here (SF Bay Area) we’re just lousy with them. (Could be a unexpected result of Leash Laws)

Not sure if you can see this, but here are some of the locals stalking a neighbor.

Lucky you, Fellow Baby, off for 2 days. You mentioned today being stormy, as in weather wise, or something else?

And you think will end up hurt? Oh I hope not. But I hear a $95 million over 5 years price tag. Decadent! No sports figure or otherwise, is worth that much!

Fellow Baby, stormy as in heavy rains, thunder, lightning, tornado & flood watches for certain counties. Real fun stuff.

    I’m off Monday through Wednesday.

well…i found an answer for my chicken, fish, chicken, fish, chicken, fish, merry-go-round. i made a one lb pork tenderloin for dinner. mom can chew it, its not to dry, and its not to much for the two of us. win, win, win… its also quick and easy, witch is icing on the cake.

noicant, pork tenderloin is a good choice! My dad had trouble with certain foods. He had a problem with his esophagus and many times he would choke on certain foods. Mostly meats, so when I cooked for him, after my mom died, I had to be careful what I made for him. And then he would feel bad because he didn’t want me to feel bad. You know what I mean?Does your mom like spaghetti? You could make a tasty sauce for the pasta. Maybe she would like that?

noicant I may be missing something here but I gather your mom is getting particular about what she eats. Does she like fruits? Perhaps for a change of pace for her you could make a nice fruit salad. There is plenty of vitamins and nutrients in that and if she also likes sweets, which my parents did, you could add a bit of ice cream to the mix. I hope your siblings step up to the plate for you. I was an only and without the help of my hubby and sons, I would have been TOTALLY overwhelmed!
