@ Chefwen:At the end of a long day…When shadows lie long upon the grass…Before the sun falls below the trees…A dog likes to stand in front of his home and pause for one final moment of quiet reflection…About what he’s having for dinner.
I oftentimes go out on the back deck, overlooking the Manhan River and the Berkshire Mountains in the distance, and quietly reflect on that day’s dinner possiblilties…Then, satisfied with my decision, I look at the sunset once more and go back into the house and…
I pretty much live my life just like today’s strip, but like Grog, pizza is not on the top of my list of dinner wishes.Good morning to all of the Citizens of Dog out standing in their yards.
stel ol’ bell, sometimes I go out on my deck overlooking the quiet , tranquil cesspool that gurgles it’s merry tune of gas relief every few minutes. The unbelievably horrific odors belching out of it permeates the surrounding neighborhood bringing pleasant reminders of a backed up toilet in a Tijuanasaloon. In the distance, through the thick layers of smog I can just make out the nearby slums of the nearby large city, baking in the early summer heat amidst a a steamy cloud of insects, haze, unbearable humidity and disgustingly foul odors of things long since dead, I can quietly reflect on my dinner possibilities. Satisfied with MY decision, I stagger back into the shack I call home and went about the business of preparing my choice of dinner.I opened up another can of warm beer. The darn fridge is on the blink again and my slum lord doesn’t seem to want to answer my calls.Think I’ll go out on the deck again watch the cess pool gurgle and cozily sip my beer.ah, life!
Good morning kids. Hope the world is spinning your way today. Day 3 and the saga continues. New co is supposed to be out sometime today. Have my TKD belt test today, I’m going for my orange belt, so the garden hose is calling my name now. I can’t kick through 3 boards without feeling up to par..Ah to have a dogs life, where your biggest thought is of what to eat..StelBel it wouldn’t be the first time I took 3 lefts to make a right.
Everybody here knows the “Ctrl+” and “Ctrl-” options to enlarge and shrink images on a PC, do they? It doesn’t improve resolution, but does make things bigger.
“StelBel it wouldn’t be the first time I took 3 lefts to make a right”……………………………………………………………………………I’m glad the directions I sent were helpful.
(BTW, GOOD LUCK with your TKD belt test today!! Hope that cold garden hose shower left you energized and focused! And, have you let the septic system folks know that you are a martial arts expert………?)
That would be a great idea for supper. I’ll take KFC, but I prefer Popeye’s. I think Fellow Baby would too. They’ve got chicken that’s kicked up a notch – but probably not enough for her taste.
x_tech, HA! I wish!that shot you posted was in the posh part of town we all have dreams of moving up to someday. They are so snooty with their black and white television sets and high fidelity record players and Ford Pintos , always looking down their noses at us. I myself, have been allowed in there for brief periods of time but only to clean their swimming pools and to manicure the lawns of their sprawling estates. If you look closely , you can see that this , of course, is a gated community. If they didn’t we riff-raff would run rampant amongst them.. And honestly, who would want wretched riff raff running rampant?
Shika, I actually went to a Popeyes in New Orleans way back in 87 when I was still living in Montreal. There are a few here in the Bay area as well. It’s much better than KFC in my opinion.
No TV? I practically have one for each room. I don’t like missing a moment of a football game. Other than that and the local news the only other channel I’ll watch consistently is TCM. beyond that I use my TV to watch DVD’s, like I am now.
!!!the form i was worried about getting before leaving Az. showed up today. the clerk i talked to told me to expect it in eight to ten business days. i got in four.
Fellow Baby, I would like Popeyes better, huh? “They’ve got chicken that’s kicked up a notch – but probably not enough for her taste.” In other words, it’s spicy but not HOT HOT like I like it! LOL!
I just received some not good news from a friend, so I will read today’s toons and say goodnight Citizens of Dog. Don’t feel it would be appropriate to joke around tonight.
I just found out that a good friend of mine’s dog is very Ill. I know that his dog means the world to him and it is such a worry for me as well. I hate to see this . Dogs are so easy to love and demand so little. They should be in our lives for a much longer piece of time.

Shika, that movie is a classic and a part of my DVD library. But you can also see it quite often on TCM or AMC.
