I am so happy for you that everything worked out OK with your mom! It reminds me of when we had the same problem with my mom. Distraction and someone else stepping in (kind of like a tag-team approach) oftentimes worked when things got difficult. Since you’re the main person dealing with mom, she focuses on you mostly, especially when she’s feeling frustrated. So, your brother-in-law was able to re-focus her. (How great is that that he’s willing to pitch in!) Good lesson for future problems that will occur. Now, that you are getting settled in your new home, I hope you will be able to search out some support services, so that you and your mom will be able to have quality time together…and, just as importantly for both of you, quality time apart . It’s a fact of life that you’ll both need a break from each other! I think I heard a big, collective sigh of relief coming from all your friends here last night when you reported that all was well.

Nice pictures today. I am not ready for autumn, but I have been known to go out of my way to shuffle my feet through the fallen leaves.

Are these repeat stories? I’m new to this strip. The fall thing has thrown me for a loop.
