Bridge Over the River Kwai is definitely on our list of favorite, classic, 4-star movies. And, The Great Escape is another one. Every so often, we get the “tapes” out and watch them. (Yes, we still use VCRs, but have the DVD machines, as well. I just hate to give up the VCRs. I find it’s easier, for me, to program,record and play back.)

Well you could have turned that triangle upside down, Cuddles. At least it would have been different.

I also have a VHS machine, StelBel. I estimate that roughly 25% of my movie collection is on VHS tape. Over time that percentage is slowly dropping. I just recently replaced 5 tapes with DVD’s. I now have 487 movies in my collection. I estimate that I will top 500 by year end.

right now, I’m on the “main” pc in the house, since my laptop crashed 20 min. ago, while I was on Bing. i HATE this keyboard (among other things this a.m., like the internet, computers, and modern technology in general!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I have a feeling that whatever happened came from a picture at Bing. is that possible? Macafee said it detected and removed a trojan, and when i clicked on “more info”, the trojan was some sort of fake trojan alert. I can barely even wrap my head around that! lost my desktop and start menu, was able to shut it down ‘properly’, rebooted, but 95% of desktop is missing, and I’m nauseous……i had about 10-12 error messages (the triangle with the exclamation point) and a "trial " scan program that started automatically, which I promptly x’d out . but, i’m afraid all is lost, all is lost, all is lost………..I probably won’t be here much the next couple days, but i’ll check in at least am and pm.

Thanks, IMudd, for that explanation. That actually makes sense to me. And, it also makes me so angry that it can happen in the first place, especially when I try to be so careful. So, it looks like another trip to computer hospital…Thanks again.
