Fellow Baby, the Original Twilight Zone had many memorable stories. Even some of their worst stories were better than what’s on the tube now.

Last night’s disk featured a few of my favorites: The Hunt, where a hillbilly, Mr. Simpson, and his hound dog, Rip, go on a racoon hunt, but don’t return. Mrs. Simpson never really has anything nice to say about Rip, but Rip is the one who keeps Mr. Simpson out of the other place on the count of they don’t allow dogs. Rip would smell the fire & brimstone.

Kick the Can was about a bunch of retirement home inmates who recapture their youth by playing kick the can. And I’m sure you know all about To Serve Man. It was perhaps one of the most memorable show in the 5 year run.

Fergus, I agree. It’s time the roles of all animals were recognized in American History and, indeed, in World History!

@Jkissmyaoh, yeah, I sure did read ‘IT" Stevie King is my favortite author. 99 percent of the time, the book is far better than a movie, simply because of the time restraint. SOMEthing has to be cut out of it, even if it’s a mini series.check out ’11/22/63’—— it’s a page turner!

I never did read ‘11/22/63’ (meant to a while ago, then got bogged down in a ton of books from tag sales), but so remember how disturbing ‘Pet Semetary’ was, especially for an animal lover! King’s knack is taking normal, ordinary things and situations and making them go way out of whack. Who’s equipped to cope with this madness? I was a big fan of his many years ago, but then started to gravitate to other authors. One book of his that I started to read (maybe this is why I stopped reading his books) many years ago was so upsetting to me, I never finished it (which is unusual for me). It was about a couple who were at some seaside resort after the season had ended (if I remember correctly…) and there was no one around. One of them is tied up on the bed in a hotel by the other for…fun and games. The other leaves for some reason and gets killed, leaving the tied-up person there with no means of getting free. Then, King proceeds to detail the thought processes of a deteriorating mind. I couldn’t deal with it.

The two scariest movies that I ever saw were the 1963 movie called “The Haunting” and “Hush…Hush Sweet Charlotte.”. At one point in “The Haunting” the whole row that I was sitting in dropped down behind the seats in front of them. They remade it and all the special effects added in the new version still made it pale in comparison with the original.

Dry and I are both in December. It’s more common here to put the month first, although, just to keep things interesting, there are people here who love to do it the “european” way with the day first. Guess it’s just easier to write it out. (gov’t. and other official forms follow month 1st).

Anyway, if I read your post right, your birthday was 5 days ago, and you never gave us a hint!!!!!

I’m listening to Booker T & The MG’s now. Man, they did some great stuff that I never knew was them.

Although noicantspell is a “kid” compared to all of us “seniors”, I think the youngest so far, is Greg Trail, who stops by, now and again.

nighthawks I actually enjoyed very much the remake of “War of the Worlds”. It’s a shame Tom Cruise turned out to be such a “PUTZ”. He was also good in “Top Gun”.

I think the “Man with the X-Ray Eyes” starring Ray Milland was one of the scariest movies I ever saw. And then a couple of years ago I saw the original “Jeepers Creepers”. FREAKED ME OUT. It was summer, and when it was over, I ran around and locked all the doors and windows. My sons and hubby thought I was nuts! :-D

I hope everyone enjoyed their Sunday..Fergus if and Nigerian princes send a letter wanting money, don’t reply..HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY SHIKAMOO.I see there are a lot of December birthdays. I’m the first day of Capricorn 12/22/70. I came home on Christmas morning in a big red stocking that I still have. :-)
