I forget, Fellow Baby do you like spaghetti? Runs in my mind, you don’t. I mean REAL spaghetti, not from a box or can. Real spaghetti with meatballs or hot sausage, or both! :-D
its not finished but my 2nd bathroom is functional.YEA!i need to do the trim work, paint the door, and find a medicine cabinet (or two) i like, and i’m done.then on to the next project.: D
Now I am listening to ELO’s first album for the first time. I just got the boxed set of all 10 of their albums for the price of $57 something. A good deal, since they do have some great albums, some of which I already had on Vinyl already.
I know it is getting late Grog. I wish I could get here faster. I did peek at the comics this afternoon, but I got shy about reading them when someone came by. It’s my first day at the agency after all.
Yes, it’s not bad, but obviously was a time when they were still looking for an identity and direction. By their third album, On the Third Day, I think they found that identity and the albums were getting better. By the mid 70’s, you couldn’t turn on the radio without hearing something from ELO.
I suppose it’s one of those what they called “concept albums”. This and Heart’s Dreamboat Annie are my 2 favorite albums. The Eagles Hotel California would be number 3. CCR’s Willie & the Poor Boys would be next.
I’m afraid not. The only performer that I saw live that I had to pay for was Pat Benatar. And I saw her twice. Though I loved the shows, I was deaf for the next 48 hours. Concerts weren’t really my thing, even though I have live albums in my collection.
I never liked concerts for that very reason. I am sure I have a hearing loss just form the few concerts I attended. I saw the Beach Boys in concert though, and enjoyed every minute of it.
For the Benatar concerts we had pretty good seats on the floor, but not first row – but we were in the first third of the floor seats. Loved the show, but it was LOUD.
A lot of what Linda Ronstadt did was soft rock, too, but she could belt out some rockers as well. But I liked her version of Desparado better than the Eagles version.
YEA I MISSED THE PARTY WITH ALL THE GREAT TUNES! BY THE TIME I GOT HERE AT 11 PLUS PM IT WAS TOO LATE TO READ the dialogue, but I DID SEE SUCH WORDS AS ELO, FLEETWOOD MAC, THE EAGLES, AND THE LATE GREAT JIM CROCE MENTIONED!

Here is one of my favorite songs, but they’ve got many great tunes. My favorite album, though, is Eldorado.

I love the way they combine classical music with rock.
Shikamoo Premium Member about 12 years ago
i’m here Grog. I just remembered something I needed to do. I started my first full day of counselling. My mind is scattered. More than usual. :-)
Shikamoo Premium Member about 12 years ago
I like that too Grog. I’ve heard that. they do a good job.
GROG Premium Member about 12 years ago
I haven’t left either. Still listening to that first album.
Shikamoo Premium Member about 12 years ago
Do you like it so far? that is a good deal.
GROG Premium Member about 12 years ago
That song is on ELO ll, which I will leave until tomorrow night. It’s starting to get late.

Is this a new job, Shika?
GROG Premium Member about 12 years ago
Eldorado was their fourth album and my favorite. I know all the words to every song.
Shikamoo Premium Member about 12 years ago
You must really like them to memorize them all.

I’d round that out with Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours. That;s my top 5.
Shikamoo Premium Member about 12 years ago
Have you seen any of those live?
GROG Premium Member about 12 years ago
I’m afraid not. The only performer that I saw live that I had to pay for was Pat Benatar. And I saw her twice. Though I loved the shows, I was deaf for the next 48 hours. Concerts weren’t really my thing, even though I have live albums in my collection.

I have, Zeppelin live, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Seger, Journey, Benatar and Springsteen.

I replied to you at OB Grog.

I have professional photos taken by my friend who invited me along. They are in my album. We were in the second or third row from the stage.
GROG Premium Member about 12 years ago
And I replied back.
Shikamoo Premium Member about 12 years ago
I have nothing that you would like, unless you like the Beatles. I’m more soft rock and rock or classical or folk.
GROG Premium Member about 12 years ago
For the Benatar concerts we had pretty good seats on the floor, but not first row – but we were in the first third of the floor seats. Loved the show, but it was LOUD.
Shikamoo Premium Member about 12 years ago
But the music you post here is music I recognize and I always love to hear music done well.
GROG Premium Member about 12 years ago
For the most part, I consider The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac soft rock. And I do have other soft rock, like Jim Croce in my collection.
Shikamoo Premium Member about 12 years ago
I was trying to guess where I’d heard that name before Grog. Now I remember.
Guess I’ll be saying Good Night Shika. Good Night Grog!
I’ve enjoyed our talk. It is past my bedtime almost.
GROG Premium Member about 12 years ago
