love that basset, Stel ol’ Bel.incidentally, I saw in the paper this morning that The AccuWeather.com Long-Range Forecasting Team is predicting another brutally cold and snowy … and More Monster Snowstorms for the Northeast This Winter.so, do what everybody does in this part of the country when heavy snow is predicted:go to the supermarket and buy all the bread and milk you can find.also, batten down those hatches, grab your snow shovels and, most important, buy a plane ticket to Miami
I am hoping that our two months of rain absence will prove to mean an absence of snow this winter. Plus I have my fingers and toes crossed for good luck.Good morning to the Citizens of snow free Dog.
Stel, yep milk, bread and toilet paper!* Thanks for the back-up there! People not from these parts NEVER believe me when I say that about the toilet paper.
Another thing that is starting to get scarce is bottled water when snow storms are announced.
Good afternoon kids. Has anyone else been getting a site being updated message? It only seems to be happening for CD. Had to get here through Find a Comic. Dang gremlins..Order me a sweet tea Cuddles, I’m on my way..StelBel & Dry those are also the staples of a winter storm in the Midwest. We always joke about snow days being made for French toast. Looks like this winter is gonna be a rough one. There is not a nut on the ground here and we have more nut trees than I know what to do with. Word on the street says the Farmers Almanac predicts snow for October. Please, oh please let them be wrong.
I have blocked out all references to snow, so I can only see the first two panels of this strip, and only a few comments. It’s strange, but peaceful to be in denial.
I saw it, Shika Must have been really early in the morning for me to say Clyde Cooper. But then maybe Clyde Cooper is Claude’s brother who cops Captain Cruch instead of clean copper clappers.
x_Tech explained to you last night what the problem was. Apparently, the URL was too long, and you’d have to do a “tiny URL”. (I’m not so familiar with that, so I’ll defer to x_Tech )
Anyway, for the pictures that I post, I look for ones that primarily end in jpeg.
So, first you type: < img src = ’
then add: URL (you would have copied it, so you can paste it in.)
Make sure you have the space between the img and src and make sure you have the apostrophe!! and NO space between the apostrophe and the URL.
Then, after the JPEG of the URL, type :‘width=’200’>
(NOTE: width can be any number up to 350, which is near the limit at GoComics.)
Again, pay attention to NO spaces, and the apostrophes are a MUST!!
There is only ONE SPACE when you type the beginning code, and that’s between img and src. (I had to type it with more spaces, because otherwise, it wouldn’t appear in the comment box.)
I’m off to make popcorn, watch TV and go to bed. Sorry I missed you again!! Can’t wait to hear what startled Dry !!lol Keep everyone in line, now! GROG! seems to be stuck on the letter “C”!
About 15 comments above the searchlight picture, ryku7 did a “double post” (one post right on top of another, and wondered how that happened. I never saw it done before, but I’m curious. Can you explain it?
Have you not seen the copper clapper caper, StelBel? It was a skit with Carson and Jack Webb back in the late 60’s or early 70’s. I have it as part of the best of Carson collection.
i seem to have a bit of a swollen head tonight.and im a bit embarrassed about it.the support group was all woman except me today. so i did not do much talking. it was all about the angst that they were feeling about the facility that they had there husband/father/mother at. and also about how they were/had changed facilities as the situation changed with there loved ones.i had nothing to add. mom is at home, not IN a home.they are all aware of moms rapid sudden slippage and how i was stuck at home, and the horrible tole it was taking on me.that was a major part of the discussion last week.they finely got around to asking me how mom was, and i told them that mom was no better and now we are going into a series of evaluations to help me make it easier to do my job, and see what help i can get from moms insurance.thats when everyone started with the praise for me and how “strong” i am, and how “wonderful” of a son i am.i have no idea how to respond to that except to say, im doing what needs to be done.then i was told by the moderator that most cant do just that.…wow.me?i don’t feel like something special. im just trying to do right by mom.and i still get deep feelings of guilt when i think about the fact that we mom and I are living on her income.so how is it i am special just because i am doing the right thing.i was told…because not many people can, or are willing to do what you are doing.wowim flabbergasted.i have a bit of head swelling going on now and i am still not comfortable with it.i am now waiting for the whatever it is that will * pop * my swollen head and bring me back down to earth.honestly,my swollen head feels so good,my little ego is so soothed, that i don’t want the feeling to go away.i am (at the moment),happy, happy, happy!!!: D

happy you are doing what you do for your mom because she did for you! What goes around comes around, maybe not in the ways you expect, but if your mom could understand, she would be SO GRATEFUL I am sure! A lot of children, SADLY, dump their parents by the wayside when they become a buden. GOD BLESS YOU AND HE WILL!

Shikamoo Premium Member about 12 years ago
StelBel, that cat looks like he’s related to my Mua, who had a black mark on his forehead just like that when he was young.
However, Mua’s muse was catnip, not beer. And he hated the television almost as much as I did. Or more.
