(We keep hearing that this year’s foliage would be spectacular!! I’ve seen no evidence of that yet. I had to go on-line to find a good example. In past years, I could have looked out my door!)

What happyathome meant yesterday was do you keep any favorite and/or personal family and friends photos on your computer. They would be in an “album”. You could choose a picture from there, following the directions from your profile page to put it in for your avatar. For instance, I found a picture of a rooster on-line and placed it into my personal photo album on my computer. From there, I could put it here. I used to have pictures of my dogs as avatars. If you have a digital camera and load photos to your computer, then you have the capability to choose one to be your avatar. Or, if your son can help you get a picture from an on-line search, put it in your album on your computer, then bring it over to GoComics. At least that’s how I did mine.

First things first: Do you keep photos on your computer?

I’m usually sleeping when you end up commenting here. Always good to “see” you, whenever you appear!( I should start writing greeting cards, huh? lol)

I should have remembered the “smart quote” problem (I bet nighthawks will never forget that!). Good pick-up on that. Now, I can’t remember the “fix”, but again, maybe nighthawks can help out with that since he’s the one that had to accomodate for that. All that would remain is explaining it clearly enough for ryku7 (and others) to understand, because it does get confusing!

when you paste the code in from Photobucket, first:

find this: ><img in the code. Put your blinking cursor between the two brackets and press BACKSPACE to get rid of everything that came before the second bracket (BACKSPACE is fast so be careful)

second:

get rid of all the stuff after it says jpg of gif, , and add ‘width=’250’>

so, it would be: jpg’width=’250’>

Would either one of you be kind enough to check both here an at the formatting guide re: what the problem is with ryku7’s picture posting? Even when I take the code and retype it so that it doesn’t have smart quotes, it still won’t post! This is beyond my ken (and Barbie, too!).

And, as if this isn’t confusing enough, Photobucket changed their whole format (announcement on opening page), so now I have to adapt to the new format over there, and I don’t even know if I’m telling him the correct way to do things. My head’s just swimming… Just when you think you have everything down pat, they go and change things. Trouble is, I don’t know if it’s changed for everyone: with the announcement, it said click here to learn more. I did, and everything changed before my eyes.

ryku7 needs to learn sizing ASAP. Help?

You must think I live on another planet! But, I swear when I went there before, there was an announcement stating that they were in the process of changing the site to be easier to use (?). It said to click here for more info…I just wanted info! and it changed to a whole different format! If I hadn’t clicked, it would have stayed in the old familiar Photobucket that I knew and loved…..

So far, the Catholics lead the convicts 20-6. This is their first meeting in over 20 years. Of course, Michael Irvin would only think of the on-field activities, but the “U” got their nickname from their off-field activities.

i have a chipmunk as a regular visitor to my bird feeders now. he is getting used to seeing me in the window.and this afternoon i had a woodpecker of some kind visit.and what ever the small bird with the large white patches on its cheeks.the jays and crows still are shy, and the banded dove pair is very shy.i think i like this home more every day.

I have found a real fun way for you all to spend your Saturday nights! Loads of fun! And time consuming! So if you are bored, it will keep you occupied for a bit! Was making a gourmet salad, opened up a brand new bottle of olive oil (I get the good stuff, so it isn’t cheap), measured out the amount needed, went to place THE BRAND NEW JUST OPENED BOTTLE, on the counter, and lo and behold, crash! Glass bottle, shattered everywhere, not to mention the olive oil spreading all over the kitchen floor, and the critters coming in to see what was going on and heading into the mess on the floor! Ever try cleaning up a whole bottle of olive oil from your floor? And the shattered bits of glass?

im a fan of anyone west coast.pnw especially.i will route for USC, but not if they are playing O or the Ducks.

And not to mention keeping the critters out of the fray!

I hate to say it, Fellow Baby, but been there, done that, but without the critters. Down here, I worry about the ants marching in.

I never was a big Pac whatever fan.

While living in Edmonton, I was somewhat starved for good college football. I got a lot of Washington and Washington State while up there. Boooooorrrrring!

Yup, you’re right. My boss in Edmonton went to Washinton. He thought very highly of his team and the PAC-10. I always thought it was over-rated. For the longest time, the SEC was underrated – but not any more!

im happy with O and UofO.both teams do well, and are producing some good smart players.some are making it to the pros.
