Explanation of “Plimoth” spelling:
26. Why is Plymouth spelled “P-l-i-m-o-t-h”?
“Museum guests often question the unusual spelling of Plymouth in Plimoth Plantation. Plimoth is an old-fashioned spelling used by Governor William Bradford in his history of the colony, Of Plymouth Plantation. This spelling was adopted to differentiate the Museum from the modern town of Plymouth. There were no rules for the spelling of English words in the early 17th century, and each writer did as he or she pleased, phonetically spelling the word as seemed fit – sometimes differently on a single page. Plymouth is spelled a number of ways in colonial documents, including Plymouth, Plimouth, Plymoth, and Plimoth. When Plimoth Plantation was founded, it was decided to use Governor Bradford’s most common usage, Plimoth.”(acc. to Plimoth Plantation website)
i stay up all night u see saturday or sunday my parents go yardselling without me so some times i stay up all night waiting to go with them so whats up
Good morning kids. Happy Saturday to everybody. This has been a crazy busy week and the weekend doesn’t look much better. My mantra lately has been…..run, run, run just as fast as you can…..can’t catch me I’m the Gingerbread ma’am. I know before too long, I’ll miss these days, but lately they are kicking my butt..Fergus what if he’s a candidate who has a dog and a cat. Would he be a bipartipet candidate?
Thank you StelBel for the awesome vacation pictures. I’ve been catching up and loved the Mayflower II pictures. I probably would never have seen the inside without you Stel Thanks.
Good morning to all of the Citizens of Dog.I hope this strip switches topics soon. I get enough political talk from the radio. I need a break from it in my comics.
I suppose there are certain parts of Paris that have been painted by a multitude of artists, StelBel
One of these days I may buy one fro the Southwest gallery in Dallas. They feature a couple French artists. It’s just a matter of finding one I like at the right price and size.
I like it because it because it’s got a bit of a spicy kick, Happy. And the batter is a tad lighter. Although I must admit I like the KFC I had up in Great Falls, Montana. It was spicier than any other KFC I’ve been to.
Stel I was going to say Paris, but I wasn’t sure. I saw a similar photo a long time ago and have been looking for a painting of it or a large photo to put in my living room but haven’t found one. Thank you for that post!
Oh Lin Gee I always enjoy your comments. We visit some of the same comics. When I give my general greeting, it includes you all regular NICE visitors. But I have been doing the Fellow Baby, cleo and sugie, since we were the first ones who came here way back when, so I keep up that tradition!
im getting happy groomed wednesday.im going to have him given a traditional cut.except for his muzzle.he drags his face through everything. so im having that trimmed down.
happy you are just a nice guy! Yeah, the fool signed up June 1. When you have been around as long as me, and seen them come and go, you tend to be more careful. You should have been here when the strip “State of the Union” was on here! My oh MY! And yeah, it dealt with politics and was in the regular line up, not the Editorial section. Needless to say, many posters were banned for life and they eventually dropped the strip. It got REALLY NASTY at times! I would comment on rare occasions, but I would read the comments, unless there were too many that I grew weary and stopped.
well, my movie is over, and i think i am also.its possible i may check in a bit later, but not a sure bet, so i will say at this time…good night people and pets.
I try really hard to ignore things that bug me…….tried it once with dust bunnies. Have you guys ever seen what ignored dust bunnies do….they ban together into one giant dust ball. Then the door opens, a gust of wind frees it from under the couch and it scares the bejeepers out of the dog.Moral : I try to ignore the gobbledy gook as long as I can but never ever ignore the dust bunnies.
Chefwen and happy I guess some of us just have bigger mouths than you two do! And again, because I am too tired to go to photobucket for a search, :-D!
Big day tomorrow and not much sleep lat night. I don’t think I’m a little slap happy at all. I’ll be at the Rams game tomorrow so if you tune in you may see me….I’ll be the chick wearing blue.Good night kiddos. Here’s to peaceful coherent and non babbling dreams.

Stel, I don’t think that was San Fran. It looked more Euoprean to me but I don’t know for sure. It is a pretty picture, though, isn’t it?
