Good morning kids. Rainy yucky day here which is very fitting for my cold. Yuck..The relationship circle can be a rough ride around the ring Fergus. Can Mel last 6 seconds? Can’t wait till he gets home.

well…i got breakfast together,got mom out of bed,got a load into the washing machine,got mom into the shower,fed the dog,got mom dressed,got breakfast in the both of us,got the second load of laundry started…and got the breakfast dishes done.i think i deserve a long hot shower, and possibly a second pot of coffee before tackling the folding,getting lunch started, and getting a pot of soup started for dinner.i wonder if i can squeeze in the time to make some tapioca for desert,and (i can only hope) a nap.(sigh)

oh…and sweep, and mop the two bathrooms, laundry room, and kitchen.and vacuum the rest of the house.i sure could use a Zoe around here.if not to help, at least keep the pest of a dog out from under my feet.he has this thing about trying to eat mops and brooms when im trying to use them.: )

all alone again…

well.i got mom in her bed.she was a bit fussy this afternoon/evening.when i started feeding her dinner, i had to be persistent to get her to start.that worries me. she usually eats ok. when i have a problem getting her to eat it gives me pause.making pudding was not necessary. she had no interest in dessert. she just wanted to go to bed.

tomorrow is my respite day, so i get to work away from the house in the morning.i need to fill moms prescriptions, and get Happy to the groomers.the problem is, my groomer is a little over 10 miles to the north of me.i get moms prescriptions filled 10 miles to the south of me.so at 10:00 i need to have the dog in the car and head north, drop him off, skedaddle south 20 miles, get moms prescriptions AND go grocery shopping, bring that home, empty the car, and get up to pick up Happy at 12:30.my “respite” is from 9:30 to 1:30. thats my weekly break this week.

im tired.

happy Quick drive by and then I am out for the night. Wanted to come back and check on you. :-) My mom, though she was never diagnosed with Alzheimers, her change in taste, etc changed, quite a bit. And she ate like a bird sometimes. Does your mom like chocolate, ice cream, fruit, or other sweet things? I found that when my parents didn’t well, they would eat sweets. And I have discovered that elderly people through my research, develope a bigger sweet tooth, and it does give them nourishment.
