Major computer problems.Ran a repair program, and it caused bigger problems.I tried to fix it by installing windows 8.Still not fixed. If i can get someone to sit with mom today, I’m going to staples or wally world.…or both…
I would find it mighty curious if I saw a cat doing science experiments in my local coffee shop. My community has more coffee shops per capita, then any other community in WA state. And that is saying something.
…for the moment, I.M.…for the moment.(knock on wood, formica, glass — anything that works! I’m always aware that it’s when everything is working perfectly that the computer will do a 180 and crash! Not knowing exactly when it’s going to happen creates a lot of suspense. lol)
Heavy fog in the area prevented my from commenting on my computer this morning. It appears satellite receivers don’t like fog either. I also forgot to take my iPad to the service center this morning. I could have killed that hou and a half by reading my strips. Oh well.
Well, I think I fixed my computer problem. The windows update seems to have stuck. And I think part of my problem was my mouse.Bat thing, I lost my spell check.I am going to go look for an app for that…
Well, the fog has cleared up and it’s actually turned out to be quite the nice afternoon. So nice, in fact, that our version of Popsicle Pete is going around the neighborhood.
I think I need to go out and soak up some rays & drink a little wine and eat a little cheese. Woof, Woof!
That’s why I’ve got a classic television library, shika. I can’t get enough of The Avengers, Mary Tyler Moore, Bob Newhart, Night Court, X-Files, Star Trek, Twilight Zone and a long list of other shows.
I had bin having some problems with my computer.Lockups, dropped pages, slooow running. Things like that.I decided to use a new clean up and repair program. It made things worse. It deleted files that should not have bin deleted. It seems that the mouse also decided at that time to go bad.Every time I clicked on a box to type something it started doing that 204204204 thing. It would also scroll be to the bottom of a page, and I could not make it go up.I managed to get into my mailbox tho.Microsoft e-mailed me an offer to upgrade me to Windows * for $39.00. If I took it in to a shop it would have cost me more than that, by far.so I am now also trying to learn a new system.and navigating with out a mouse sucks.
Grog, that classic library is worth its weight in gold. I just don’t have the time or space for that right now. I’m more of a reader anyway. But I did really enjoy all those classic shows..
I find reading harder on the eyes, Shika, which I try to preserve for work. I have a lazy left eye. Keeping my eyes fresh is hard enough without reading all night, even though I love getting into some of the classics in literature.
I often think that most of us take our vision for granted. But I know enough people who have gotten macular degeneration or something like that and lost their vision to know that it is a precious gift to be able to see.
I hope to record a summer tape tomorrow, Shika, while I continue to collect more nuggets of 50’s and 60’s music. Once I’ve got everything I want, I can begin re-recording some of the old tapes I did back in the early 80’s. Some of those have lasted close to 30 years, but one-by-one they are starting to go on me. I initially had 15 tapes. It’s quite possible that I could end up with 20 or more. It’s amazing what I’ve been able to acquire since those days.

Sure, Fellow Baby. There’s enough wine & cheese for everyone. However, the warmth of the sun is something you’ll need your ruby sneakers for.

Thank you for asking StelBel. I’m fine, apart from being hard of hearing from my cold. I hope that clears up soon.

He may be fictional, Shika, but he’s my favorite fictional character – well next to Grog.

happy, your problem came from a bad wireless mouse? Oh dear. Where is a cat when you need one? :-0
GROG Premium Member almost 12 years ago
I’ve got a stuffed Woodstock keeping me company when I watch my movies/TV shows, Shika. He’s really kid of cute. He was a Christmas present.
Shikamoo Premium Member almost 12 years ago
That sounds like fun Grog. Someone once gave me a pair of Tweety earrings, but I lost one. They were so cute. Woodstock is adorable.
Shikamoo Premium Member almost 12 years ago
I have a basket of stuffed animals in my living room. They cheer me up.
Shikamoo Premium Member almost 12 years ago
Are you watching a movie tonight Grog? Or listening to music?
GROG Premium Member almost 12 years ago
Herman’s Hermits, at the moment, Shika. I was watching Rockford Files earlier.
Shikamoo Premium Member almost 12 years ago
But if they brought back those old shows Grog, and I had more time, I’d watch them rather than what is on T.V. now.

I know someone with a lazy eye who says the same thing. I wonder why there’s no way to fix a lazy eye? At least you can enjoy T.V. and music.
GROG Premium Member almost 12 years ago
Shika, if anything serious ever happened to my right eye, I’d be blind. That scares me more than you’ll ever know.
