When I asked you, “Who is Nemo?” and “What warning?”last night, I had no idea, then, that that was what they had named the BLIZZARD heading MY way!!!!

At first glance I thought he said De-licking.

We’re all set to hunker down for the week-end. Hope your prediction of 6-8" is on target…better than 18-22" that I keep hearing! lol

Oh, well — whatever happens will happen. Just hoping that we don’t lose power. THAT’S THE MAIN THING, RIGHT?

Stel and icky mudd you guys better check the Weather Channel or something. If you are where I think you are, you are going to get about 12", and if you are on the cusp, that goes as high as 24".

And if someone’s power goes out, I think I know a certain gentleman who may have to sleep on the couch! :-D

I am enjoying this Snow Day, and will be scarce as I finish my project.

SNOW = Unnecessarily frozen water. Grew up in Wisconsin, know all about that stuff. Brrrr!

Tried to replyto you Shika but it would’t let me. So any hooo lived most of my life in the Buffalo area and survived the blizzard of 77. Been there, done that and don’t want to do it again LOL.

Just don’t get caught on any Massachusetts roads today after 4 pm — that’s when the state-wide ban on ALL non-government and non-emergency vehicles will take effect.Not a good day to be in a Quandary!

We’re working past the second inch of snow right now. Snowing steadily since 8:30 am, but right now it’s very fine flakes. Our house is well-stocked with everything we need EXCEPT heat if the power goes out. The naysayer has already been informed that if the power goes during this storm, IT WILL BE THE LAST STORM WITHOUT A GENERATOR!!!!!!!! ……no ifs, ands or buts!

Stel good luck with all that! We survived ’78, ’93, ’96 and a couple others.

Of course, in ‘78 it took hours to find our little BMG which was parked somewhere in front of the house! And in ’93 our front porch collapased, and sadly in ’96 our neighbor died because he was out shoveling and the ambulance couldn’t make it up the hill. And then there was 2010, and . . . . But I don’t know if we ever topped 3 feet. I’ll have to check.

I’m not sure how many feet we have, but when I looked out the front door of the lobby, it looked pretty high. Of course, the banks are always higher than anything else.

I am happy to be inside, and I have enough food for the weekend. As a single person, I live simply. If the power goes out, I have candles and flashlights and canned food. I won’t starve. Lots of water too.

I’ll have to check with some buddies of mine in Montreal to see if they’re get any significant accumulation out of that system.

I hope Stel and icky mudd are doing okay. Being without power is the worst part of it!

And cleo I hope our buddy johnny is faring well! He is my adopted son, you know!

Somehow mom made it through another day. I am torn. I hate the idea of being alone, but I hate how mom has wasted away far more. And even with all the morpheane she is still, at times, obviously uncomfortable.I am so, so, tired. Not sleepy, worn out. Stretched thin. Ground down. My whole being feels brused.

Shika, I find it hard to believe that pirates would be sipping tea or coffee when they could be downing tankards of Captain Morgan’s Rum.
