It’s still snowing here (Western Massachusetts) at 7:30 am, and it’s due to stop between noon and 1 pm, but high winds will blow all afternoon (calm now). We got about 20 inches so far, and fortunately, it has remained light and fluffy, so we have no power outage issues so far. Eastern coastal areas were not so lucky. They had heavy, wet snow that caused over 600,000 people to be without power.
our cars in the driveway)
(the end of our driveway and the library across the street)
(one of our back decks)
We’re still under a state of emergency and there is a ban of all traffic except emergency vehicles throughout the state.
Now, all we need is a week of 60° weather and this will be but a dim memory! lol
I get all of my books from the bookmobile that comes and parks at our fire station every Tuesday afternoon. It is a mile from here and it is fun catching up with the neighbors who arrive while I am there.
Whew! I just refreshed the comments and didn’t realize how long it took me to post those pictures til I saw all the other comments that posted in the meantime!!! Good morning, everybody…….again!!!
RE: Zombie Dog in the Spring : …………………I KNEW the other photo was a mistake!!! I JUST KNEW IT!!
That was my bubble bursting about nighthawks.I guess a dalmatian never changes his spots!(I know the saying is about a leopard, but this is Citizen Dog after all.
You have much more snow that we got, but then I’m surrounded by high-rises that prevent the snow from reaching some areas. The suburbs are another matter. They got hammered and buried.
And, by the way, those of us in the Northeast thank you all for your concern and good wishes throughout the storm! I am so glad it’s nearly over, and I’ll be really happy once the power comes back on for all of those who lost it last night.
I hope it’s clear sailing to Spring! No more storms or Zombie dogs…..
“I love the contemplating look on Fergus face in the second panel.”+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Me, too! I wonder if he’ll be going to summer camp with the kids, or maybe establish a summer camp for the parents? It looks like his brain is working a mile a minute!
cleo, you are correct and when some of happy’s grief has passed, he will realize that he did indeed do a good job! All a parent can hope is that their child or children will take care of them they way we took care of them when they were children, and I think *happy has proven to be a wonderful son.
That also includes the Ed Ames surgical procedure and the scene with Bob Hope, Dean Martin and George Gobels, who said without me, your show would be nothing!
Well, I’ve just seen the Carson/Doc Thanksgiving scene that has me in stitches every time I see it. Now I can say that I’ve laughed sufficiently in the past hour and a half to finally call it a night. Time to turn out the lights – except possibly a night light, Fellow Baby.
It is odd what life has in store for us. My parents died young, but siblings who didn’t take care of themselves ( smoking and alcohol) outlived them both.
Good to see you Number Six! You know who your friends are when they take time to comment at such an important time!
My mom lived to be 89, that Italian bloodline you know, and Daddy to 96, His mom lived to 94. Me, who knows? Each day is a gift and if we are wise, we make the most of it!
My mother was only 58 years old when she died. I was 17. All these many years later, she is still the biggest influence on the way I live my life and the kind of person I am.
You can never forget your mama. Part of her lives in you.

I think the parents entertain themselves while the little brats are away, thus more brats arrive.
Thank God for cats and dogs.

Maggie, that may be YOUR point, but it isn’t exactly your parent’s point of summer camp. Sad but true.

That zombie dog haunts me. I’ll just have to look at one of StelBel’s photos of winter to numb my feelings.
