Sorry – I was clueless about the porterhouse but now I remember you mentioning it before. At least I figured out the fleas at the door. Maybe Melbert will get some sense knocked into him.
I see a red door and I want it painted blackNo colors anymore, I want them to turn blackI see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothesI have to turn my head until my darkness goes.
Good late afternoon Fellow Baby, cleo, sugie and all ye’ gathered here!
ARE YOU CRYING IN YOUR BEER YET, FELLOW BABY? I know Skip Bayless is! And Steven A is ROFLHAO! Can’t WAIT to see First Take tomorrow. Unless, of course, the Cowboys can get their stuff together over halftime and play the second half like they are actually there on the field!
The most football I saw all week was last night’s Notre Dame/Michigan game, Fellow Baby. Surprisingly, ND kicked ther azimuths.
I did start out to watch the Saints/Falcons game, but storms hit, blocking my satellite signal much of the the afternoon. So I went with plan B, which was to finish listening to new James Gang and Joe Walsh CD’s I hadn’t listened to yet. When I was done with that, I recorded some music that I was going to put off until next weekend.
When the storms finally moved out, I turned on my big screen downstairs and The Thrill Of It All was on TCM (Doris Day & James Garner). Now I’m getting ready to watch the original The Planet of the Apes, premiering on TCM.
I’m glad I didn’t wach any games today. EVERY game was a big disappointment.
Fellow Baby, At the moment I am watching Peyton against his old team. The Broncos are ahead, doubt I will be able to stay up for the whole game, though. Work tmr. “Funny that”, when I first signed on here as a member I could stay up for turnover on a work night, can’t anymore! SIGH!
The Steelers won today by 3 points, against their old time rival. Not a “Die Hard” fan, but after meeting some of the players and watching their scrimmage at Latrobe, I like to see them win. That day in August, with youngest, now just turned 24, is one of the best vacation memories for me. :-)
Well, Fellow Baby, my "plan B " turned out to be much more pleasing than enduring the outcome of any of those games. After my movie is over, I’ll also turn in. I could only make it to half-time – if that, if I were actually watching the game tonight. I could see through night games while living in Edmonton – and in Montreal I stacked my vacations toward the end of the year so that I could eat, drink, watch football and be merry and not have to worry about going to work the next day.
I used to be able to take most of my vacation which at the time was 4 weeks and later 5 on Mondays and Tusdays from October through December….and took off the American Thanksgiving and the day after.

If I could do that now, I would, but I can’t. I won’t bother turning on a night game now, unless I can stay up for the duration.
